March NEWS
Mission:
March Madness Motivation As we near Spring Break, it becomes easy to lose focus. Let's stay motivated by setting some goals. What grade are you striving for before the break? Wouldn't you like to go on Spring Break on a positive note? Make it a priority to be kind every day to classmates. I know we all are ready for some rest and relaxtion, but we can enjoy it even more if we earn it. Look forward to some outdoor learning time as Spring approaches. Let's work together to get to Spring Break! March Project: Make a Change As we learn about others throughout history who have been denied their rights, what will you do to improve our world? Start small. Who can you include? Who can you help? Why wait? Let's start today. #MakeAChange #March |
Key ideas in the classroom this month:
* Responsibility: If I am absent where should I look? Homework is posted on the board each day and on google calendar every week. Also, please check out the absent folder in my classroom, grab work for the day you missed and make time to come see me and I will explain it! Unit Novel: The Watson's Go to Birmingham- 1963 *Let's step back in time and step into the home of the weird Watsons. A somewhat normal family decides to take a vacation to visit grandma, normal right? Not quite. Grandma lives in Birmingham, Alabama in 1963 and the Civil Rights Movement is alive and well. Take a historical journey with a family that learns the value of family, kindness and anyone can change. ______________________ * Responsibility: Accepting the rewards and consequences of our own actions in the classroom and in life. http://thecornerstoneforteachers.com/free-resources/routines-and-procedures/class-jobs |
